Our standard
We aim to conform allshadespaintingandepoxy.com to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). WCAG 2.1 AA is the standard cited by the U.S. Department of Justice for public-facing websites and is the standard we use internally for design, copy, and development decisions.
The Site is built with the following accessibility practices in mind:
Color contrast on body text and interactive controls meets or exceeds the 4.5 to 1 ratio required for WCAG AA.
Form fields have visible labels, not placeholder-only labels.
Images include descriptive alt text for content images, and empty alt attributes for decorative images.
Focus indicators are visible when navigating the Site with a keyboard.
Heading hierarchy is preserved across every page, with one H1 per page and no skipped levels.
The mobile sticky call bar meets the minimum 44 by 44 pixel tap target size.
Color is not the only signal we use for state changes; icons and text accompany every color cue.
Self-hosted fonts load with appropriate fallback stacks so text remains readable while fonts are loading.
Known limitations
We test the Site against accessibility standards during development and as part of our launch QA. No website is perfectly accessible in every context, and we know it. If you encounter a barrier on any page, please tell us so we can fix it.

Some legacy photographs in our gallery may not have alt text that fully describes the visual content. We are improving alt text as part of ongoing gallery updates.
PDF documents (such as the warranty document, if linked) may not be fully tagged for screen readers. If you need an accessible version of a PDF on the Site, contact us and we will provide one.
How to report an accessibility issue
If you have trouble using any part of allshadespaintingandepoxy.com, please contact us. Tell us the page you were on, what you were trying to do, and what got in the way. We will respond within five business days and we will work to fix the issue or to provide the information you needed in another format.
Ongoing remediation
Accessibility is an ongoing job, not a one-time project. We commit to:
Including accessibility in every site update, redesign, and new page launch.
Training the people who edit the Site on alt text, heading structure, link wording, and color contrast.
Re-testing the Site against WCAG 2.1 AA on a regular cadence and when major features change.
Listening to users who report accessibility issues and fixing what we can fix.
Why this matters to us
We paint houses and we run a small business in the Treasure Valley. We want anyone in our service area who needs a painter to be able to find us, read about us, and get in touch with us. That includes neighbors who use a screen reader, a keyboard, a magnifier, voice control, or any other assistive technology. If our website does not work for you, that is a real problem for us and we want to know.
